While there are a wide variety of coffee packaging on the market, here are four types, each serving a different purpose.
1. Standing bag
These bags are made up of two panels and a bottom gusset, which are triangular in shape and can stand on a shelf. There is a sealable zipper which helps the coffee to stay longer.
2. Flat bottom bag
Its square design eliminates support, giving it a prominent shelf status and, depending on the material, a modern look.
Additionally, this form of coffee packaging can hold more coffee in a smaller bag thanks to its side gussets. This, in turn, makes storage and transport more efficient and better suited to the environment.

3. Side gusset pocket
Such coffee packaging tend to have flat bottoms, which means they can stand on their own - when they have coffee inside. Usually, they are rolled or folded and closed with tape or tin tape. While they're easy to close this way, it's important to remember that it's not as effective as a zipper, so coffee beans don't usually stay fresh for long.
4. Flat bag/pillow bag
While such coffee packaging tend to be small, they can be printed across their entire surface, providing a good opportunity for branding.
