Second, from a sustainability standpoint, quality sustainable food packaging materials include glass, plastic, paper, and aluminum, and it’s hard to tell the difference between good and bad. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages, depending on the purpose of the product and its packaging. Therefore, we always have to learn to make trade-offs in our pursuit of sustainability.
Again, we have to think about quality sustainable food packaging from the perspective of the entire product supply chain. Quality  sustainable food packaging design accounts for less than 10% of a product's carbon footprint, with the largest carbon footprint being created and used. While the carbon footprint of packaging may be small, its importance cannot be overlooked. If packaging loses its most basic function of protecting a product in the supply chain, attracting customers to buy it, and promoting consumption, then when the product is thrown away, the energy it consumes in the production process is wasted.
